Hundreds turned out yesterday afternoon to join Alan Thomas (BBC Symphony Orchestra) and a giant band of musicians and singers at Eastbourne’s historic bandstand.
Several choruses of Sussex by the Sea delighted supporters and onlookers and the general mood was one of uplifting hope.
Many parents and pupils from years past cane along to support and there were some lovely reunions.
BBC South East Today featured the news as it’s headline time on the evening news.
